What Should God Consider?

What Should God Consider?
Author: Oyebamiji Jelili Ayinde

There was a man who once lived in the City of Ibadan Western Nigeria. He had four biological children but due to his love for the abandoned and less privileged children, he ended up adopting about 37 children. The man was relatively rich such that, he had one of the best houses and some other viable investments in and around the city of Ibadan. He was a devoted Christian and a member of the local church.

Due to the number of people under his roof, he employed a personal cook, a gardener and some other domestic staff who took care of the home. He ensured that all the children were enrolled in school, for those who had completed their studies; they were gainfully employed in his establishments. The children were ranked among the first class citizen in the locality.

One day, the old man felt sick to the point of death, the personal physician did all he could but to no avail. The children wept profusely because Papa was too dear to loose, the eldest child then decided to inform the local Pastor about the illness.  The Pastor went straight to the house and met Papa in a terrible condition, the Pastor immediately organized a prayer session for Papa and God then spoke through one of the children, that Papa would not die because of his service to the children he kept in his house. It is very important to finish and complete the race before moving to Glory. Papa lived for many years afterwards.

God considered His relationship with Enoch (Dedicated one) and spared him of death. Gen. 5:22 - 24. He also considered His relationship with Hezekiah and extends his life by giving him extra years (15) to live. 2 King 20:1-6. **Vs. 3 "Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart and done what was good in Your sight" and Hezekiah wept bitterly. (How many can challenge God in that manner?) What should God consider?  Isaac was born; as a result of his mother's (Sarah) hospitality to people she never knew (Gen. 18: 1-15).

Thank God you have given your life and you are now born again, can you think of any responsibility that God will consider in case you need Him. You were saved to save and to serve.

Think of what you can do for the sake of Christ, I have no time of my own; my office is miles away from my home (you may say). Discover yourself today and make yourself available, not compulsorily in the Church but anywhere you are, be a good ambassador, below is the oath by Catholic Priest during his ordination,

Take my freedom, my liberty and my will
I surrender it all to God's will
I surrender my life and my all.

Live for God and live for all. Work and serve not according to your will but His. It is good to serve Jesus and that is my testimony.

“Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.” -Hebrews 13:17
